100,000 Americans die from blood clots every year. Most never saw it coming. ClotNation exists so you know the signs — and so you never face it without a community behind you.
This isn't a diagnosis — it's awareness. Answer a few questions and know when to act. Early action saves lives.
Blood clots are often misdiagnosed or ignored. The symptoms can feel like a pulled muscle, tiredness, or normal aging. Chris Gere's legs hurt at a cross country meet — he almost didn't go to the ER. He did. It saved his life.
ClotNation isn't a startup idea. It's a response to a life-or-death moment — and a commitment that others won't face it alone.
In 2021, Chris Gere was helping at his son's cross country meet when his legs started hurting. He almost wrote it off as getting older. He didn't.
After a 12-hour emergency room wait, scans revealed DVT — deep vein thrombosis — and a pulmonary embolism in his lungs. Both conditions. At the same time. Either one could have been fatal.
He was later diagnosed with Factor V Leiden, a genetic clotting disorder affecting roughly 1 in 20 people. He now takes blood thinners every night. And he turned his experience into a song, a movement, and ClotNation — the platform he wished had existed when it happened to him.
Before there was an app, there was a song. Chris wrote "Blood Clot Story" to tell his truth — and turn it into awareness for everyone.
